Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of company professionalism and performance on vendor loyalty, with vendor perception as a moderating variable. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method involving vendors collaborating with the company. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to examine the relationships among the research variables. The results indicate that professionalism has a positive and significant effect on vendor loyalty. In addition, company performance shows a positive and significant effect on vendor loyalty. The findings further reveal that vendor perception has a positive and significant moderating effect on the relationship between professionalism and vendor loyalty. Conversely, vendor perception has a negative and significant moderating effect on the relationship between company performance and vendor loyalty. These findings suggest that vendor loyalty is influenced not only by professionalism and company performance but is also strongly determined by vendor perception of the collaborative experience. Therefore, companies are required to manage professionalism, improve performance, and consistently build positive vendor perceptions to create sustainable partnership relationships.
