Social injustice remains a persistent challenge in contemporary society, manifested in structural inequality, marginalization, and violations of human dignity. In this context, higher education particularly theological education plays a strategic role in fostering awareness and commitment to human rights and social justice. This article aims to analyze the role of human rights education in shaping students’ social justice awareness within the context of IFTK Ledalero. This study employs a literature review method using a contextual–reflective approach. Relevant academic books, journal articles, and institutional documents are analyzed to examine how human rights education contributes to students’ intellectual, ethical, and social formation. The findings show that human rights education significantly contributes to the development of critical awareness, ethical sensitivity, and social responsibility among students. Through the integration of philosophical reflection, theological insight, and social praxis, students are encouraged to read social realities critically and respond to injustice with moral responsibility. The study implies that human rights education in theological institutions needs to be strengthened through contextual and praxis-oriented learning. Such an approach enables students to internalize human rights values not merely as theoretical concepts but as lived commitments in the service of justice, humanity, and the mission of the Church in society.
