Respon Kombinasi Jenis Biochar dan Pupuk Kotoran Kambing Diperkaya Limbah Tanaman Pangan terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt)

This research is based on the decline in corn production due to decreased soil fertility, so that improvement efforts are needed through the use of organic materials such as biochar and goat manure enriched with food crop waste. This study aims to increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants through the provision of biochar and goat manure enriched with food crop waste. This research was conducted in the experimental field of Panca Budi Development University, Medan. In Hamlet 3, Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. with a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 treatment factors. The first factor is the biochar dose consisting of 4 treatments, namely (B0) without biochar 0kg/plant (B1) cassava stem biochar dose of 15 tons/ha (1.5kg/plot) (B2) cassava peel dose of 15 tons/ha (1.5kg/plot) and (B3) oil palm fronds dose of 15 tons/ha (1.5kg/plot). The second factor, namely, goat manure fertilizer enriched with food crop waste consists of 4 treatments, namely without fertilizer (K0) 0kg/plant (K1) dose of 10 tons/ha (1kg/plot) (K2) dose of 15 tons/ha (1.5kg/plot) (K3 dose of 20 tons/ha (1kg/plot) Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The results of this study showed that the provision of various bochars had no significant effect on plant height, cob length but had a significant effect on cob weight with husk, cob weight without husk and had a very significant effect on stem diameter and cob diameter. While the results of the provision of goat manure compost had no significant effect on plant height, cob length, cob diameter but had a significant effect on stem diameter, cob weight with husk and cob weight without husk.
