Abstract

The construction sector is one of the sectors with a high risk of occupational accidents and work-related health problems, including psychosocial hazards in the form of work stressors. Differences in job characteristics among steel, carpentry, and concrete workers may result in varying levels of work stressors. This study aims to describe work stressors among field workers on the X Parking Building Construction Project based on job type in 2026. The study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 90 field workers, including steel, carpentry, and concrete workers. The sample was determined using total sampling. Data were collected using the Stress Diagnosis Survey (SDS) questionnaire based on Regulation of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2018 and analyzed univariately using frequency distributions and percentages for each work stressor indicator. The results showed that all indicators were predominantly in the moderate category. The highest proportion of severe stress was found for role ambiguity (27.5%), followed by qualitative workload (23.8%), quantitative workload (17.5%), career development (15.0%), and responsibility for others (8.8%), while no severe stress was found for role conflict (0%). Concrete workers tended to have a higher proportion of severe work stressors than steel and carpentry workers. It was concluded that work stressors were predominantly moderate, with role ambiguity showing the highest proportion of severe stress.
